Pitfichie SDA
The 2010 SDA series is now underway with round 1 being held at my local track, Pitfichie. Many people don’t like the track due to the flat sections and I must admit I do share this view point. However the steep rough sections are very challanging and take some skill to ride fast.
Here is my second and faster race run chest cam.
Unfortunatly my skill ran out in my practise run on sunday and I had a bit of a big crash over the bars, one positive from this though was that I did get it on camera, and here is the footage
After that I managed to get my act together and put in two decent race runs. After the first run I was leading the Expert field by just over a second, however on a drying track the second runs were always going to be faster and although I did improve by 2 seconds it wasn’t enough and I finished in 3rd.
James was the only other member of Highline Racing in attendance at Ronan was out at the Maxxis Cup in Fafe (report to follow soon) and Callum was having some bike problems. He was sitting second after the first run and I am told was on a flyer when he went down in the second last corner. I have heard rumors that he asked the female medic that attended the crash for a hug and some fizzy juice. Bad luck James.
